7 Simple Yet Effective Ways To Organize Your Scrapbook Room & Supplies By Scrapbooking Coach Anna Lyons!

Anna Lyons's organization tips for scrappers

1. Store your 12"x12" scrapbook paper consider using milk crates. Just place the crates so that the openings face you. Lay your paper flat in the crates. I have one crate that I keep organized by color and the other crate is organized by holidays and themes.

2. Your wall space is the perfect place to store all your hole punches. Use a 1 foot metal rail and a couple of hooks then hang them. That way they're always visible and at your fingertips.
3. To store ribbon and washi tape use a cheap towel holder (one that hangs on the wall). Attach it to the wall and then hang rolls of ribbon and washi tape on the holder for easy access!

4. Save or ask your relatives to save their glass baby food jars for you. These make great storage containers for buttons, sequins, tiny flowers, charms, etc. With the help of a friend, we screwed the tops of the jars onto a piece of wood and then screwed the wood to the wall. As I filled each jar up, I simply needed to just screw the jar to the top.

5. Use your hubbies old fishing tackle box. They contain several units that are great for storing small items. such as charms, tacks and brads.

6. Because I have so many stickers , I bought 8.5"x11" cardstock on sale and used one sheet per protective sleeve. I used 2-sided removable tape to temporarily attach a sheet of stickers or a die-cut to the cardstock. By doing this, it keeps the stickers in place and makes it easier to see what I have. The stickers are organized by holidays and themes.

7. Transform a garden tool apron. A garden tool apron typically has three or pockets. Cut the straps off of the apron and tack the apron to the edge of your work surface or on the wall. The pockets will provide great storage for glue sticks, scissors, tape and other supplies that you'll want to keep handy.

Anna Lyons says organization STARTS with your pictures and photos

Her latest book is Stress Free Photo Organization For Scrapbookers....

The most common question Scrapbooking Coach Anna Lyons gets asked is, "how do I store my photos?"

Her answer?

" I store them ORGAZNIED", she says with a chuckle.
"Most people expect me to say in a container or in a box, but the reality is before you store photos, you need to organize them. Otherwise you're just putting a lid on an unorganized mess!"

That's why Anna put together the ultimate photo organization guide for scrapbookers, to help them get organized the right way. It's all inside her new book Stress Free Photo Organization.

"There's a well known scrapbooker who talks about this idea of 'containerisation' - which is just shoving everything into a container and hoping for the best. But all that does is tidy up a bit".

Anna goes on, "But the problem is next time you go to scrap, you'll waste time digging through a bunch of pictures trying to find the right one to use on your page"

It's hard to disagree, because when inspiration strikes, you want to create, you don't want to waste time sorting through photos.

"That's why I created Stress Free Photo Organization For Scrapbookers", says Anna.

"It shows you step-by-step how to sort and store ALL your pictures in under 7 days. Even if you've got pictures on your computer, cell phone, USB stick, in a shoe box - everywhere!"

Anna says her favorite part of the book is her "Photo Fate Decider" tool.

"Most scrappers have too many photos and don't know which ones to trash and which to keep. The Photo Fate Decider is a step-by-step chart that tells you what photos to keep and what to trash."

Stress Free Photo Organization For Scrapbookers is the first book on photo organization written BY scrapbookers FOR scrapbookers.

"As scrappers, we use our photos and pictures in different ways. That's way I wanted to develop a guide to help scrapbookers and the problems they face".

"For example,  I show you how to how to handle and protect your negatives, how to save photos that have been damaged with glue or tape, the best way to instantly restore faded photos to make them look BRAND NEW again and lots more".

Inside Stress Free Photo Organization, there's plenty of helpful images that go alongside the helpful information.  And with a guarantee that you'll organize all your photos in 7 days (no matter how many pictures you've got!), you can't go wrong!
